Nageye's insatiable thirst for learning carried him across oceans to India, to the storied halls of Aligarh Muslim University, where the world of Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration and Economics opened before him. It was at Aligarh that his understanding of governance and diplomacy began to take shape, preparing him for a future where his knowledge would serve not just an end, but on the global stage. The years in India were transformative, expanding his mind and his heart, and cementing his belief that education was not just a means to an end, but a lifelong pursuit of self-improvement and service.

Returning to Somalia, Nageye became a beacon of professionalism in the Ministry of External Affairs, his work embodying the principles of diplomacy, integrity, and service to the greater good of a nation. But the winds of change blew across Somalia, and in the late 1980s, Nageye sought new shores. In 1991, he journeyed to Canada, where once again, that he turned to education, earning a degree in International Relations from Windsor University in 2000. The lessons learned in Canada further shaped his worldview, equipping him with the knowledge and tools to navigate an ever-globalising world.
